ABOUT THE BOOK

 
The present volume represents the Seventh Edition of Cases and Materials on Employment Discrimination. The First Edition was published in 1982, and the next two editions followed at six-year intervals, the Second Edition in 1988, and the Third Edition in the 1994. The cycle shortened with the Fourth Edition, which was published in 1997, followed by the Fifth Edition, which appeared in 2000. The sixth edition was published in 2003.

There is also a Teachers’ Manual for Employment Discrimination, but it is password-protected for use only by professors. Please contact Charles A. Sullivan for password information.

A formal supplement to Employment Discrimination is published every two years.

With the establishment of this webpage, we hope that Employment Discrimination will now be much more current. While we anticipate continuing to publish Supplements for their convenience for both professors and their students, we also intend for the book to be continually supplemented through this webpage. By visiting Chapter Updates, you will find the most recent material added in appropriate places in the 7th Edition. Professors who adapt Employment Discrimination. are invited to download and photocopy the web site update in whole or relevant part.

Employment Discrimination has always tried to meld theory and practice. In keeping with its theoretical perspective, this webpage will incorporate the latest scholarship in the area. If you have an article, please send us the citation, and, if possible, an abstract for inclusion on this page. You may use "Contact Us" for messages. We also welcome old-fashioned reprints.
